A typically lovely Surrey village and home to a popular Golf Club and two delightful village pubs – The Jolly Farmer and The Wheatsheaf that are well worth a visit. Only 10 minutes from Guildford and the A3.

Ideally placed between Guildford and Godalming, Shalford is a charming village on the banks of the River Wey and home of the historic Shalford Mill – a preserved 18th century watermill.

The largest town in the area with a picturesque castle, cathedral, general hospital and only 30 minutes from London Waterloo.

Another charming green village located south west of Guildford, Witley is home to Lea Park estate and mansion featuring the famous underwater glass smoking room.

Another spellbinding village setting in Surrey, Milford has the usual collection of lovely pubs and shops, most famously including the historic Secretts Farm Shop and an award-winning farmers’ market.

Farnham is a traditional English town and holder of the title “The Nicest Town in Surry” and it’s easy to see why. Rumoured to be the inspiration for the illustration on Quality Street tins, it’s a delightful mix of small cobbled streets, open green spaces and bohemian outlook thanks to the Art college.

Cranleigh vies with others for the title of largest village in England but it certainly has a claim. Situated between two forests with a charming canal and with several pedestrianised squares to enjoy, it is a peaceful place to while away the hours.

Ideally situated near to the A3 so the City and the South Coast are both within easy reach, Haslemere itself is a sleepy green getaway for residents and has been described as a town built for homeliness, comfort and seclusion – sounds ideal!
